The Daniels Corporation, AltCrest Energy and Otter Energy Celebrate Completion of Community-Scale Solar System at Daniels MPV2, Advancing the Future of Sustainable Housing
Renewable energy system will generate clean electricity on-site and support long-term community decarbonization
Brampton, ON – July 30, 2026 – The Daniels Corporation (Daniels), AltCrest Energy and Otter Energy Inc. are pleased to announce the completion of a 615-kW DC community-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Daniels MPV2, providing power for an all-electric, net-zero townhouse condominium community in Brampton.
The renewable energy project will generate clean electricity on-site for the community and provide long-term electricity cost savings, while demonstrating how collaboration between housing developers and clean energy partners can help accelerate the transition to a lower-carbon future.

The solar PV system is owned by AltCrest Energy under an Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) framework, with Otter Energy Inc. serving as the engineering, design and construction partner responsible for system delivery.

The completed solar PV system will:
- Generate clean, renewable electricity on-site for the MPV2 condominium community;
- Provide cost-effective solar electricity under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) saving residents in their electricity bills and hedge against rising grid rates;
- Reduce reliance on conventional grid-supplied electricity sources;
- Support community-level decarbonization efforts and climate action objectives;
- Demonstrate the viability of integrating renewable energy solutions into multi-residential developments; and
- Deliver long-term environmental and energy benefits for residents.
Located in Brampton, MPV2 is one of Daniels’ leading examples of sustainable community development, designed to support a lower-carbon future through energy-efficient design, all-electric construction and innovative building solutions.
