The Solution

After evaluating options, Orlando Corporation selected Otter Energy for their industry-leading turnkey approach—encompassing in-house design, engineering, procurement, installation, and project management. Otter Energy engineered a 670 kW DC solar PV system featuring 1,489 high-efficiency bifacial CanadianSolar modules and Solis inverters, precisely tailored to the facility’s requirements. The ‘Solar Made Simple’ methodology ensured seamless project execution, strict adherence to safety and building codes, and optimal system integration with existing operations. The Results

Orlando Corporation realized transformative outcomes following system commissioning. The solar installation now generates 749,963 kWh annually, directly offsetting 24% of the facility’s electricity consumption. Financially, the project delivered a 6-year payback, a 450.52% total ROI, and $3.1 million in lifetime hydro bill savings. Environmentally, the system is projected to eliminate 14,402,100 kg of CO2e over its 30-year lifespan, making a material contribution to the client’s Net Zero strategy.
