The Solution

Otter Energy’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction team designed and installed a 1MWdc/740kWac rooftop solar PV system, utilizing 1,854 Thornova Solar 550W modules and four Solis 185kW inverters. The project was delivered as a seamless turn-key solution, ensuring compliance with safety and building standards, and was designed for long-term operational reliability. Since commissioning the rooftop solar project, Timbren Industries has realized transformative results. The installation now offsets 75% of the facility’s electricity consumption, resulting in annual savings of $291,000. The financial analysis demonstrates a 4.7-year payback period, an internal rate of return of 22%, and an impressive total ROI of 923%. Operationally, the system provides predictable, on-site electricity, shielding the client from future utility price increases. Environmentally, the project advances Timbren’s Net Zero ambitions by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring both immediate and long-term benefits for the business and its community.
